Quite literally no skin in the game.

He works at a university, and while I will acknowledge that he is an expert on labour, given it’s his field of study, his conclusions demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of the real world that is common in academia.

If we do not protect companies to some degree, there will be no employers, and while I would like to see his ideal world, I exist in the real one. I don’t want to work for a big corporation, but in my field, that’s where the jobs are.

People like this make perfection the enemy of progress and it ignores some fundamental realities.

Union leaders need to worry about keeping their members employed before ideology can even be a factor.

It’s been proven time and time again that we cannot trust of rely on the United States, and lashing ourselves to them will be far more damaging than the short-term pain we’ll feel.

Not working with government and business weakens you during a time of crisis, not strengthens you. Government and business will remember who helped, and who got in the way. Want to make the union an enemy, be an obstruction instead of a problem solver.

Trying to hold the Canadian government responsible for the actions of a foreign power is sheer stupidity and actually makes me doubt his credentials as an expert.

Denouncing national unity when we are under attack and in crisis is worse than just stupid. What plan does he propose? What solution does he offer? What ideas does he have? Nothing. Just hot air.

More people need to understand this.

Imbecilic, petulant child

Digging into it, they started building a direct to consumer when this all started, but they have always been a commercial operation, selling to companies that repackage so they had little ability to pivot quickly.
