Which place would be the best?
The first place to jumps to mind for me is https://hackaday.com/ and if there is a Threadiverse comm for these kinds of projects I would also like to find it.

That’s a really neat and fun project!
I have a back DSLite that I got the new OS cart for and I’ve been having fun loading it up with emulators and my favorite games from the past. I love how there is such a vibrant community around DSLite hacking.
You should certainly keep doing projects like this and sharing them. I’m glad you shared it because I love hacking projects. However for me this is not on topic for selfhosting even if it is still a very cool project.

Do I understand correctly that what you’ve made is a DSLite client to chat with the apple included model on your laptop?

Which LLM are you running and what are you running it on?

Please share the full stack with us

Which part is selfhosted?

nice try fbi

You are up in here trying to sell your amateur version of openclaw, which already has tons of open source and free alternatives. Why would anyone want buy your APK.

Try picking the right community. You commercial closed sourcr android app has nothing to do with selfhosting.
Why don’t you take your sales pitch to c/android?

this is just spam

I like that you are so focused on local models but I can’t find any info on setting up local models in the clients setup https://github.com/Dark-Alex-17/loki/wiki/Clients
What am I missing?
Edit: well it seems this post is an entirely fictional origin story. Here is the first time OP posted about his project 6 months ago https://piefed.zip/c/rust/p/663115/loki-an-all-in-one-batteries-included-llm-cli

To me, Tailscale is not selfhosted at all. That’s why headscale exists.

Freedom to do things as we’d like is part of the reason why we’re all here, right?
100% and the mods are also pretty good about removing off topic posts. My question is about understanding what this community thinks and where that line to what is off topic is. There are certainly things you can do with a server at home that would be off topic for this community, right?

I specifically asked about the criteria from this community’s own sidebar because that’s what I’m interested, what is self hosting “in the spirit of this community?”
Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like your reply ignores my actual question for discussion.

For European VPS providers:

You can certainly do all that learning with or without directly connecting the fiber to your firewall pc. For a mini pc you will likely need to get a USB to SFP adapter. If you want to go that route I suggest searching for compatible hardware recommendations and get a USB to SFP that has worked well for others.
Personally I would stick with the ISP modem. In any case, happy learning!

This is working fine with no issues.
It seems like a lot of time and effort with no upside except having one device in the place of two. Is there more you are hoping to accomplish with this proposed change?
Nice! got a link?
